Every day I count my blessings, and I consider myself extremely lucky, regardless of the things that go wrong in my life. I don't tell people about most of the stuff, because I strive to impress despite my past and I do not at all desire pity. I live by the saying "You were given this life because you are strong enough to live it," and I do my best to use all the challenges I face as opportunities, rather than falling to them as obstacles.

For every blow I have been dealt, I am thankful, because each has taught me something; I am thankful for every little moment, good or bad, in my life, for there is opportunity in each moment - opportunity to do good, to improve, to help, to learn. I avidly partake in introspection several times each day, so that I may learn from things that happen on any given day. By doing so, I manage to catch negative states, habits, viewpoints early and rid myself of them. Also, I love laughing, smiling, and being upbeat.

I am pursuing a doctorate in Psychology and a master's in Social Work. I will be a clinical psychologist, and am considering one of three focuses. I also hope to teach voice and piano, and possibly continue in theatre to some degree.

I love everyone, and believe that all people are inherently good. I always forgive, and feel that everyone deserves an infinite number of "second chances." Each person is capable of immense good and incredible evil - none is exempt from this law.

I believe that peace is possible and would take only a few small changes - namely, focusing on all people as the brothers we are, rather than as the individuals we care to consider ourselves. That is, if we, as a WORLD, recognize the interdependence of all people, all living beings in general.
